00Rock Leone summary

Rock Leone is a 29.7 g Metal Fight remake Blade, released in Japan on July 19, 2025.

Rock Leone manages to stand out despite the unnecessary nerfs given to remakes, and manages to rise above its rival Gingka for the first time. Against other stationary styles it is at a disadvantage, but at least it fulfills its defensive mission better than in its original era, capable of raising a true lion's wall of wind worthy of Kyoya Tategami.

01Mythology

It is based not only on the Lion, but specifically on the Leo constellation, which is also a zodiac sign representing strength, pride, and dominance.

02Description

It seeks to faithfully replicate the original Rock Leone, merging all its parts into a single structure. The old Metal Wheel remains completely in metal, while the rest is plastic. On the bottom part, it incorporates a thin additional layer of green plastic to allow assembly with the Ratchet, preserving an appearance almost identical to the original.

It maintains its six characteristic segments, three being slightly wider, which give it its rocky shape. These extend downwards forming a concave silhouette that continues the roundness of the Clear Wheel. Unlike Storm Pegasus, the metal is located lower, providing greater stability. Additionally, its weight distribution is much better balanced, making it one of the best balanced remakes with a higher spin time.

03Performance

The exposure of its segments provides a slight aggressive potential; however, the recoil will be mega high due to its light weight. While it can generate interesting impacts and occasionally surprise with a favorable bounce, it does not have enough mass to trust it with a consistent aggressive style, something that already happened since Metal Fight.

Where it really stands out is in defense. Since its concave shape, good weight distribution, and smoothed top allow it to act as a shield, reflecting impacts even from the heaviest Beys in the current competitive scene. The key is to use low heights to hide its divisions and reduce recoil.

It should be noted that although it is decent in spin time for a remake, it does not stand out above the average, and will face difficulties against stationary Beys with decent stamina. Therefore, its use is limited to defense against attack.

04Ways to use it

Shield Defense

In low combos with Bits of good traction that allow it to tilt and use its surface as a shield to deflect attacks. Slightly increasing the height can enable surprise Counterattacks, though with greater risk.

Mobile Defense

In semi-aggressive Bits with controlled movement, moving around the stadium to dodge and reflect impacts when the rival approaches.

05Base combo

Rock Leone 6-80GN

Surprisingly functional. Gear Needle generates a slight wobble that helps it tilt like a shield and, at the same time, provides additional erratic momentum to impact with its segments exposed by the 80 height. It is a risky defense but probably the best base combo among remakes so far.

06Combos

1
Rock Leone 7-70UN

A defensive combo that improves stability, adds weight, and offers good support on the floor to face aggressive rivals with greater consistency.
