00Yielding summary
Yielding is a 4.3 g stamina Bit.
It is not the equalization Bit that many expected, but indeed a super interesting hybrid option. It offers a unique balance between stamina, defense, posture, and mobility. Not all Blades can get the most out of it, but those that do will receive a remarkable power up!
01Description
It features a very peculiar shape: it is not completely round or spherical, but closer to a cone with a rounded edge that opens up to a circumference of approximately 1.2cm, functioning as a hybrid between Needle and Ball. It incorporates a super wide 20-tooth gear and a cross on the top part that adds stability and weight to the center.
02General properties
The sharp tip allows it to tilt similarly to Needle, the smoothed circumference provides the traction and mobility of Ball, while the Cross helps it avoid over-tilting and recover upright postures similar to Hexa.
So it can tilt initially to take a defensive position with great ground support, to later recover a more upright posture to take advantage of its remarkable stamina. Or launch it more upright so it has mobility around the stadium, which with enough force can activate a savage Xtreme Dash with its huge gear!
However, that is also its biggest risk; its circumference is so wide that it could go wild, wasting energy, getting launched out of the stadium on its own, or bursting on its own when the cross hits the rail—although fortunately, the latter is not so frequent and it has really good burst resistance.
Thus, light or small Blades that are easy to push won't be able to get much use out of it as they aggravate these risks. On the other hand, wide or heavy weight Beys, combined with stable Ratchets, will manage to mitigate these risks and increase its defensive potential without compromising stamina.
On the flip side, in the final spins, its conical shape causes prolonged wobbling, which does give it greater Life After Death, but the wobbling prevents left-spin Beys from maintaining a good posture to equalize, unlike Elevate which stays upright for longer.
Ironically, on right-spin Beys, it is a mega great anti-equalizer, since that final wobble will make it difficult for left-spins to be pushed with enough consistency to maintain energy until the end. Besides, since Meteor and Cobalt are unstable by design, they will run out of stamina quickly while Yielding prolongs the final spin.
This can give a major power up especially to Wizard Rod, since it will obtain greater defense than with Hexa, a stamina very similar to a Ball, and on top of that, the ability to counteract left spins!
