00Under Flat summary

Under Flat is a 2.1 g attack Bit.

If your Blade asks to be short and aggressive, you definitely must try this Bit. It is not indispensable, but it is super worth having it to experiment with new options.

01Description

A variant of the original Flat. It preserves its perfectly circular diameter of 7 mm and the standard 12-tooth gear, but it is 2mm lower. Its tip has a wider hole, and above the gear it features a three-blade clover instead of the full circumference.

02General properties

It maintains the same acceleration and speed as Flat, with in theory a slight improvement in stamina thanks to the wider hole, which reduces friction with the stadium. However, sitting lower leaves very little distance between the tip and the gear, making them super close to the ground. So in pronounced tilts, the blades can hit the rails causing bounces or loss of energy.

Fortunately, its incredibly low height gives it excellent stability and great impact force, besides fully exposing the upper part of the Blade, making it ideal for Upper Attacks. It can be a bit difficult to control, but its power and height allow for new strategies.

Why does it work this way? Blader's Path explains it step by step: Bey physics, how to build combos and how to test them. See the book
