Vortex is a 2.1 g attack Bit.
In right spin, Vortex offers more power than Gear Flat, but with less stamina and control, so Gear Flat can be a safer option. In left spin, on the other hand, it becomes an incredibly excellent alternative for those looking for something more aggressive than Flat without relying so much on the rail as Gear Flat.
01Description
A Bit with a standard 12-tooth gear and a star-shaped tip whose points spin to the right. It is, technically, the inverted version of Cyclone, although with a wider diameter, almost the size of a Flat.
02General properties
Being wider, its speed and aggressiveness are similar to those of Flat. However, the star shape notably increases traction, which increases the power of its impacts, being even slightly stronger than those of Gear Flat due to the way they grip the ground.
This same additional traction also consumes more energy, reducing its stamina and making control difficult due to its tendency to swing out toward the edges of the stadium.
Its performance varies depending on the spin direction:
- > Right spin: The points make direct contact with the ground, increasing traction and power, but reducing stamina and easily breaking the attack pattern in the center.
- > Left spin: The smoothed-out part makes contact, offering more control and stamina, with slightly less powerful impacts, although still superior to Flat's.
