00Trans Point summary

Trans Point is a 2.2 g balance Bit.

Trans Point continues to explore the possibilities of this system, a noble idea but one that carries many risks. Although it is not the safest option for combos seeking consistency, its changing behavior makes it quite a fun part!

01Description

A wide tube Bit, a variant of Point that preserves the same base shape: a central tip surrounded by a flat ring. It is 1 mm smaller in diameter than the original and features an oval-shaped top part, from whose ends two arrows rise that allow adjusting the Bey's height depending on how you arrange them with the Ratchet.

  • > High Mode: The arrows are placed over the plastic of the Ratchet, elevating the Bit 1 mm above Point.
  • > Low Mode: The arrows are positioned on the sides of the Ratchet, leaving it 1 mm lower than the standard version.

During the battle, if it starts in High mode, the Bit can automatically change to Low mode after executing an Xtreme Dash or receiving strong impacts.

02General properties

In essence, its behavior is similar to Point's: it stays calm in the center while the tip touches the ground, and becomes aggressive when the flat base makes contact, even reaching to take the rail. However, its smaller diameter gives it lower acceleration and aggressiveness, with more controlled movements.

Its biggest differentiator is the height change; on one hand, it can leave you taller to use the lower part of the Blade and mid-battle use the upper part. The problem is that this rotation of the Bit right in the middle of combat can cause an imbalance, which could cause wobbling or erratic movements, costing it valuable spin time. This is aggravated by its oval shape on the top part, which is prone to bouncing with the rails, making it even more unpredictable and easy to burst in case it gets stuck.

If you leave it in Low mode, the Bit will mostly stay in its position, making it behave with greater consistency and control, plus it improves stability by being so short.

It doesn't have the consistency of the original, but that is its intention. So heavy weight Beys that seek to go wild to hit erratically with strong Counterattacks can get a lot of use out of it, especially those whose shape has potential both on top and on the bottom, to hit effectively from all angles.

Why does it work this way? Blader's Path explains it step by step: Bey physics, how to build combos and how to test them. See the book
