00WeissTiger summary
Pearl Tiger (WeissTiger by Takara Tomy) is a 34.7 g BX Blade, released in Japan on June 15, 2024.
WeissTiger is the very definition of balance: no glaring weaknesses, but no overwhelming strength either. Its real power lies in the hands of a Blader who can read the battle and adjust strategy on the fly. It’s not a Bey you can use carelessly—but it can punish anyone who underestimates it… hard.
01Mythology
It is based on Byakko, the White Tiger of the West in Chinese mythology, a symbol of balance. It also serves as a direct homage to Driger, Rei’s legendary Bey.
02Description
Its shape is divided into six wings: three large and solid ones with a downward slope that form a prominent upper hook, and three smaller ones with an upward inclination and an internal hollow.
Together, they create a pronounced lower slope followed by slight irregularities, while the upper section is more smoothed out. It has a medium weight, with a spin time slightly above average.
03Performance
Its goal is to have a bit of everything. The upper hook gives it potential for Smash Attack, the lower irregularities can both wear down opponents with Barrage and crush them with Down Force, while the smoothed upper area allows it to deflect hits with defensive qualities. Finally, the hollows push weight toward the edges, enhancing its stamina traits and giving it a very solid spin time. Even its recoil is fairly moderate.
WeissTiger represents total balance: its true power depends on the Blader’s skill. With the right launch, it can adapt to almost any style or strategy. Properly balanced, it can shift into multiple roles:
- > On aggressive tips, it can attack or evade with great fluidity.
- > On stationary tips, it can wear down opponents through constant contact or defend by tilting like a shield.
- > On counter tips, it unleashes surprise hits and counterblows.
- > On semi-aggressive tips, it finds a middle ground that takes advantage of all its qualities.
While it is highly versatile, it does not truly excel in any single area. Its results tend to be very even, meaning success depends heavily on your precision and your ability to read the opponent. Its medium weight makes it a risky pick in the current competitive environment, where heavier Beys deliver more consistent results.
Interestingly, it’s hard to point out a clear weakness—but it’s just as hard to define its strongest role. It truly is a Bey that lives in balance. It performs well against everyone… and everyone can perform well against it.
04Ways to use it
On aggressive tips with good stamina, it can switch between critical hits, wear, or evasion depending on the situation.
On stationary, high-stamina tips like Ball or Orb, it defends by tilting and wears down opponents through continuous contact.
On counter tips, it can take hits from below and respond with a strong returning impulse.
05Base combo

A very solid combo straight out of the box. Unite provides versatility and control, and only requires fine Ratchet balance adjustments to fully unlock its potential.
06Combos
More stamina-oriented, ideal for prolonged battles. Can tilt to defend like a shield.
An improved version of the stock combo; 9 increases stamina and reduces recoil while keeping great mobility.
3** adds an extra contact point that strengthens its counterattacks.
Flexible and adaptable, allowing it to shift between attack and evasion simply by adjusting launch power.
Why does it work this way?
Blader's Path explains it step by step: Bey physics, how to build combos and how to test them.
