00Ratchet 7-55 summary
Ratchet 7-55 weighs 5.2 g.
01Description
A super low and very light Ratchet. Although it belongs to the 7 family, its design is completely different since its seven divisions are much more spaced out and rounded at the bottom. Furthermore, they are all the same size and none protrudes from the rest.
Its assembly system is "O" type, which means it doesn't feature the internal pressure mechanism. The fit depends solely on the direct pressure between the Blade and the Ratchet, making them much more vulnerable to bursting.
Although an advantage is that it tightens all Bits equally, allowing you to use defensive or stamina Bits with greater safety that would normally be more prone to bursting, which at this height is incredibly valuable.
The problem is that the removal of the mechanism considerably reduced the amount of plastic and consequently its weight too, staying almost 2g below its 60 counterpart.
In theory, being half a millimeter lower in comparison, it should lower the center of gravity. However, the height change is minimal, while the lightness is indeed noticeable, so it doesn't really improve stability compared to 7-60.
Most interestingly, the bottom roundness considerably mitigates the risk of scraping the ground, and even if it happens, the energy drain will be much lower than the standard 7 shape. Had it featured the normal assembly, and the usual plastic so it wouldn't be so light, it could have been an excellent defensive and stabilizing part for any Blade; however, 7-60 continues to be the better alternative.
Except in cases where you are only allowed to use this type of Ratchet, as is the case with ClockMirage. Because among those of this style, 7-55 is without a doubt the most stable and with the lowest bursting risk. Allowing Clock to reach the consistent competitive level that it couldn't achieve with the other parts, making 7-55 an excellent addition considering how prominent it will make this Blade.
And if in the future more Blades appear with this same condition, it will become an indispensable and highly valuable Ratchet!
