00Ratchet 7 summary

Ratchet 7 comes in three heights: 7-60 (7.1 g), 7-70 (7.2 g), and 7-80 (7.8 g).

Ratchet 7 is an indispensable piece that combines weight, strength, and stability. It is a reliable part that improves the performance of almost any Blade and, alongside Ratchets 1 and 9, is part of the most versatile and indispensable trio of the system.

properties

01Description

A Ratchet composed of seven wide divisions that give it the shape of a solid barrier. One of them slightly protrudes from the rest. It is one of the widest and heaviest parts in the system.

02General properties

It is an excellent stabilizer, since its high weight is distributed downward through its wide protrusions, which lowers the center of gravity and increases traction with the ground. This reduces the risk of being launched out of the stadium, improves control on aggressive Beys, and powers up impact force.

It is also mega useful on light or unstable Blades, as it helps them compensate for their disadvantages, allowing them to behave in a more balanced and functional way.

Therefore, it is ideal for combos that require greater stability, solid defense, or precise control in aggressive movements.

Its longer protrusion concentrates a little more weight, which generates a balance effect similar to Ratchet 1, although to a lesser degree. So it can also help improve the Bey's stamina. However, in this area, 1 and 9 are usually more consistent.

Its main disadvantage is that it can scrape the ground or the rails if it over-tilts, and that, in case of direct contact, its marked protrusion can cause a savage recoil. Even so, the benefits it offers in stability and control usually widely compensate for those risks.

03Variants by height

  • > 7-60 (7.1 g): Low version and the most stable, but the one with the highest risk of scraping the ground.
  • > 7-70 (7.2 g): Medium height. Maintains stability and facilitates the use of the middle part of the Blade.
  • > 7-80 (7.8 g): Tall and incredibly heavy version, ideal if you are looking for a tall combo with the highest stability possible. The additional plastic covers a large part of the separation between its segments, reducing recoil and increasing its Life After Death, which allows it to defend effectively even at this height. Its shape helps cushion and redirect impacts, and thanks to its prolonged protrusion, it can generate occasional Counterattacks without compromising stability too much.
