00TyrannoBeat summary
Beat Tyranno (TyrannoBeat by Takara Tomy) is a 36.8 g BX Blade, released in Japan on April 27, 2024.
TyrannoBeat perfectly embodies its ancient beast: powerful, unpredictable, and a little clumsy, but deadly with every stomp and bite. It sits right between the raw force of DranBuster and the versatility of PhoenixWing. It doesn’t just hit hard—it hits in ways no one expects, and that surprise factor keeps it among the stadium’s top predators.
01Mythology
It is based on the Tyrannosaurus Rex, whose bite force exceeded 5 tons, making it the most feared predator of its era. Its name literally means Tyrant King of the Lizards, and it absolutely lives up to that reputation.
02Description
Its shape is oval, divided into two wide segments representing the dinosaur’s body, with details that evoke its scales, skin texture, and the spikes along its spine. Both segments slope slightly downward, while the upper front features a wide, highly exposed wall. From the side, strong lower irregularities are noticeable, and along the sides its dino details stick out, creating plenty of raised contact points. It is a heavy Blade with medium-low stamina and a slightly unstable spin.
03Performance
TyrannoBeat is just as imposing as its inspiration: brutal, a bit clumsy, but incredibly powerful. Its oval shape makes it naturally aggressive, and its weight helps offset recoil, letting it hit hard from almost any angle. The front wall has massive Smash Attack potential, but it also brings high recoil, especially on the upper area, so facing heavier and taller Beys can be risky. Its side details unleash Ráfaga hits that drain the opponent’s energy, while the lower irregularities allow it to crush and wear down rivals. Basically, it hits hard from every direction. Keeping it at height 70 helps reduce direct clashes and prevents it from getting flattened. Because of this, it has strong offensive versatility: aggressive Bits for frontal clashes, or semiaggressive ones for longer wear-down battles. Rebounding Bits work well if you want a chaotic style, and even in counter setups it can surprise with heavy counterblows. It performs best at mid heights 60/70, where its full shape really shines. That said, its rough form is not aerodynamic at all, so it loses speed quickly and can feel “heavy” while moving. Lighter or evasive Beys can easily frustrate it by dragging out the match, just like what happened to Jaxon in the anime.
04Ways to use it
In combos with counter Bits, it can unleash brutal whip-like hits when taking the Xtreme Dash; those surprise bursts are its signature.
With semiaggressive Bits and mid heights, aim for constant center impacts to wear down and push the opponent.
In pure attack setups with aggressive Bits to hit head-on with maximum power.
With semiaggressive Bits, it can bounce around with chaotic, unpredictable movement, like a dinosaur rampaging through everything.
05Base combo

A totally random combo, since Quake makes it bounce and crush with unpredictable hits. It’s not competitive, but it does exactly what it’s meant to do: deliver chaos and fun.
06Combos
A classic attack combo. The weight of 1-70 stabilizes it, improves stamina, and keeps control.
Great for counterplay with a touch of chaos thanks to Trans, which tends to bounce on the rails.
A semiaggressive combo that takes advantage of rebounds and pursuit; it can be tuned between stable or erratic depending on the ratchet balance.
Why does it work this way?
