00AeroPegasus summary
AeroPegasus is a 38.3 g UX Blade, released in Japan on July 30, 2024.
Aero Pegasus is, without a doubt, one of the most spectacular Beys of the entire generation, both in design and performance by being super versatile. Not because it is easy to use, but because in the right hands it can adapt to practically any style. Here the determining factor is not the combo, but the Blader's ability to control its power.
It should be noted that in our tests HoverWyvern had a slightly lower and less versatile performance than Aero. While SharkScale obtained more remarkable and consistent results in all areas, being an equally versatile and powerful option but with a much lower learning curve. And above all, these two Beys are mega more accessible and cheaper to get.
So Aero Pegasus is incredibly powerful and versatile, but difficult to master, complicated to find, and very expensive to buy. So it literally feels like a luxury to use it. Even those who have it, it's understandable they want to keep it as a collectible due to its huge value and to prevent the paint from chipping or breaking with use.
But if you have it and want to use it, it guarantees you super explosive and exciting battles! It perfectly captures the essence of Gingka's Pegasus and makes it as intense as the legendary and untamable Pegasus.
01Mythology
Used by Omega Shiroboshi, and it is a tribute to Gingka Hagane's Pegasus. It is inspired by the winged steed Pegasus, who was born when Medusa was decapitated by Perseus. Later, the hero Bellerophon managed to tame it with the help of the goddess Athena, using it to defeat the Chimera. In the end, it was immortalized by Zeus as a constellation.
02Description
Its Chip shows Pegasus, subtly keeping the design of Pegasus's bangs but seen from the side, extending its wings coming out of a hexagon, which is a reference to the Facebolts from Metal Fight.
On one hand, the three plastic rectangles in the center continue the shape of the Hexagon, but they also resemble the two metal rectangles in the center of the first Pegasus1 (The Pre-Hybrid Wheel), even with the gaps.
Practically its entire shape is inspired by this Bey, with three prominent wings, very marked polygonal fronts, and three small lines engraved on the wings. In fact, if you combine the blue color in the center of the BB-01 Pegasus and the blue on the outside of the BB-96, you practically get the colors of this Aero Pegasus, which has a blue Metal Coat both outside and inside in two different tones.
It is a super wide Blade, close to the size of Rod, which thanks to the gaps in its wings concentrates most of its weight on the ends. With the detail that its center of gravity is slightly higher than that of a traditional UX.
Its main contact zones are located at the back of the wings, where there is a subtle but exposed curve. And an extra one is the edge2 that protrudes on one of them, generating a relief with great impact power, but which smooths out noticeably with prolonged use.
03Performance
Its name "Aero" is not for nothing, as it literally flies around the stadium like a jet. Its size and weight distribution to the ends allow it to accelerate incredibly fast; even on Bits that would normally be calmer, it is very easy for it to gain a huge momentum due to the tremendous inertia generated by its centrifugal force.
Unlike other aggressive Beys whose impacts usually sound intense because they have more specific sharp points to cause damage, Pegasus does not depend on a specific zone. Its idea is to push as evenly as possible no matter what part makes contact, with acceleration and momentum being the key to its effectiveness since it is practically a great wall smashing into its rivals.
And added to its high center of gravity, it generates a brutal leverage force that can smash, lift, and push, making its hits truly powerful.
However, that itself is its biggest weakness. On one hand, the acceleration makes it very prone to losing control, especially after taking the rail. On the other hand, the high center of gravity makes it easy to lift, even by its own momentum, so it is simple to send it flying if caught near the edges. And finally, having so much weight on top makes it prone to wobbling, so it can cost it a lot to recover an upright posture if they manage to smash it or over-tilt it. This can drain a large part of its stamina and it will lose the position to push correctly.
Because of this, it can be a Blade that is super difficult to master; just like Pegasus in the legends, it requires a Blader capable of launching with precision and power to avoid the lack of control and over-tilting it is prone to.
Fortunately, being so heavy, so wide, and with good aerodynamics, it allows it to be incredibly versatile, even more so with its remarkable above-average stamina. So it not only works in aggressive combos; you can also leave it completely stationary so that rivals smash into it, and from those hits generate the momentum to release a Counterattack, or in semi-aggressive combos where it is a balance between aggressiveness and defense.
Just one small detail, the blue Aero mold is prone to breaking because the intersection of the wings with the center is super thin. It is not something that happens quickly, but it is a latent risk, especially due to the immense force it requires to be used in attack. However, its red re-mold comes reinforced, which on one hand makes it a bit heavier, and on the other hand increases its impact force and should also reduce the risk of breaking.
04Ways to use it
At medium-low heights with flat Bits, where the key is to find the balance between power and precision depending on the player's style and strength.
It can stay in the center with Bits like Point, waiting for the impact to then gain momentum and return with an explosive acceleration.
Using small and stationary Bits, it can absorb the initial impact and return it with great force thanks to bounces off the stadium walls.
On chaotic Bits like Kick, you can launch it tilted and with momentum from the launcher to generate unpredictable trajectories.
On semi-aggressive Bits, moving around the stadium to chase rivals while maintaining good stamina.
On completely stationary Bits with great traction, it will seek to have rivals smash into it to cause them mega damage and surpass them by spin time. Just make sure to keep it out of the center and the stadium pockets or it will be easy prey at the start of the battle.
05Base combo

It has the potential to release truly strong impacts thanks to the aggressiveness of Accel, but at 70 height its vulnerability to being sent flying and losing control increases. So it can be incredibly complicated to achieve the precision and posture necessary to release all its strength.
06Combos
A classic attack combo with a great balance between control and aggressiveness at a more stable height.
Powers up the Erratic Attack, allowing very effective chaotic trajectories, although it requires controlling the initial tilt well so it doesn't knock itself out.
Stationary tanks with the capacity to counteract impacts. Hexa gives it greater traction to the ground and avoids over-tilting, while Ball gives the best spin time, but both can provide some initial momentum.
It is a mobile and elegant tank, ideal for chasing rivals in the long run, although with some risk of bursting due to the thin tube of the Bit.
Counterattack combo, maintaining control at the start to then release a powerful momentum with the rail.
Counter Defense combo that you must launch at full power taking advantage of the calmness of Wedge, so that the rival takes tremendous damage upon impacting against you, and then finish them off with the bounce off the wall.
Why does it work this way?
