Rubber Accel

Rubber Accel is a flat rubber tip of 7 mm in diameter, with a wide 16-tooth gear that is interrupted by a hemisphere.

The friction of the rubber grants it the highest impact power among all attack Bits, but it also causes three major problems:

• > The rubber sticks to the ground immediately and, due to the width of the tip, the Bey swings out way too much at the start of the battle, making it difficult to maintain centered attack patterns.

• > The hemisphere easily collides against the rails, and the spherical shape lifts the Bey causing bounces that prevent executing Xtreme Dashes consistently and further break the attack patterns.

• > In theory, the hemisphere sought to keep the tip separated from the ground during the Xtreme Dash to avoid friction, but in practice, it continues to subtly touch the stadium, acting as a brake that slows down the movement instead of a real push.

Because of all this, Rubber Accel is the Bit with the second lowest stamina in the system, only above Quake. That, added to its terrible consistency in movement, makes it extremely risky to use. Also, when it is new, it leaves rubber residue on the stadium that can affect the performance of the Beys, so don't forget to clean it after using it!

Over time, the rubber wears down and the tip becomes almost round, which reduces its aggressiveness, improves its control, stamina, and grip to the ground, making it incredibly difficult to knock out. In that state, it acquires very useful defensive and offensive properties; it practically becomes a Rubber Ball, which generates debate about whether it should remain legal in that state.
