00Stun Medusa summary
Stun Medusa is a 27.1 g UX Blade, released in January 2026.
Stun Medusa is a visually super attractive Blade, with striking neon colors and well-achieved details in its snake heads. However, in performance, it is among the most deficient of the generation. Its design compromises even more a playstyle that was already difficult to execute, further reducing the low consistency that Shinobi Shadow provided. Even so, it includes the valuable 9-60 Ratchet in a peculiar color, and it remains mega cool to collect.
01Mythology
It is based on Medusa, one of the Gorgons from Greek mythology. It was said that anyone who met her gaze was instantly petrified. Originally she was a beautiful woman, but was transformed into a monster by Athena, turning her hair into living snakes.
02Description
It is a re-mold of Shinobi Shadow, but with several important changes in its shape:
- > Its upper curves are lower and more subtle.
- > In Shinobi, these formed three crossed divisions in the shape of a swirl; in Medusa, the periphery is continuous and each section begins where the previous one ends.
- > As a result, the widest and most aggressive point in Shinobi remains toward the inside, while in Medusa it is positioned directly on the periphery.
- > That point goes from being rounded to flat and sharp in Medusa.
- > Its design incorporates six snake heads: three prominent and three more subtle.
- > It is approximately 1.4 g lighter.
03Performance
Shinobi Shadow was already a Blade with a very specific style and mega complicated to make perform consistently: it depended on its lightness to shoot out, break the rival's attack cadence, and surprise with occasional impacts thanks to its curves.
Medusa, on the other hand, makes everything incredibly worse... Having three flat front walls, a sharp top edge, and being more exposed by sitting on the edge, noticeably increase the recoil without providing any benefits. And if that wasn't enough, it is one of the lightest Blades in the game, considerably more than Shinobi, which aggravates its condition even more.
As a result, it loses energy faster, it is easier to send flying, and it tends to get easily trapped in the stadium pockets. So it is super harder for it to survive than for Shinobi.
04Ways to use it
In combos of moderate movement that allow it to dodge the rival as much as possible, to seek out-spinning aggressive ones.
On stationary Bits, waiting to be pushed to bounce against the rival.
05Combos
Launch it with maximum power looking to dodge the first impacts. It depends on bounces to stay out of danger or maybe generate Counterattacks.
Focused on movement around the stadium to evade as much as possible and miraculously survive by spin time.
Why does it work this way?
Blader's Path explains it step by step: Bey physics, how to build combos and how to test them.
