00PhoenixWing summary
Soar Phoenix (PhoenixWing by Takara Tomy) is a 38 g BX Blade, released in Japan on December 27, 2023.
PhoenixWing marked a new era in Beyblade X. It was the “Bey Time Shift” Burn always dreamed of, capable of changing the competitive rules from the moment it appeared. Even today, it remains one of the most versatile, powerful, and beautiful Blades in the series. It may not dominate like it once did, with more strong options now available, but its fire still burns just as bright—a symbol that even in a constantly shifting meta, true legends never fade.
01Mythology
It is inspired by the phoenix, a mythical bird associated with the sun. According to ancient Egyptian tales, the phoenix could live up to five hundred years before being consumed by fire and reborn from its own ashes. Its flame symbolizes eternal energy and mastery over time.
02Description
It is made up of three massive, angled segments representing the phoenix’s wings, extending far beyond the circular outline. The front side is widely exposed, featuring a pronounced hook on the lower-middle section, while the rest of the wing has sculpted details that resemble feathers. From the side, it shows a clear tilt and upper and lower irregularities created by the carved feathers. It distributes its heavy weight toward the edges, giving it excellent stamina. In its original version, it features a metallic red paint finish.
03Performance
PhoenixWing has pretty much everything: weight, power, and stamina. Its hooks land brutal hits that push and slow down the opponent. The feathered reliefs add a burst effect that drains energy. On top of that, when hitting from below, its tilt and upper irregularities can lift the opponent, causing both destabilization and wear. From above, it can crush and grind down the rival. On aggressive and semi-aggressive Bits, it’s an absolute beast. Despite its natural aggression, its heavy weight also allows it to stay stable and planted in the center, tanking all kinds of hits and handling the recoil that comes with its shape. In CounterAttack setups it shines even more, using its mass to return impacts with force and remain in the center of the stadium with impressive stamina. It can be considered the first true tank of the X generation, with a more offensive style than WizardRod, which is just as crazy but focused on defensive stamina. It has a huge range of possibilities. Its weight allows experimentation with different heights and setups, though it really stands out at mid and low levels to maximize stability and power. As other Beys begin to surpass it in weight, its recoil can become an issue, and that’s already starting to happen. Over time, surface wear can also slightly reduce its aggressive power. There are mold variations with different weights; newer ones tend to be heavier, helping it stay competitive.
04Ways to use it
In low, aggressive combos to send the opponent flying.
In mid-high combos with semi-aggressive movement to pressure from above.
In mid combos with semi-aggressive Bits for continuous hits and energy drain.
In mid-height combos with aggressive Bits to unleash its most destructive side.
On counter-style Bits that wait for impact and snap back with a heavy whip.
In low, stable setups that are heavy and hard to knock out.
05Base combo

A fully aggressive gamble. Hard to control, but that chaos can create absolutely crushing hits. It’s not the most consistent option, but from the first spin it shows how brutal it can be. Plus, it includes super valuable parts like the 9-60 Ratchet and the string launcher, making it a must-have pickup.
06Combos
These are just the options I personally like the most, but remember that with PhoenixWing, the possibilities are huge.
Powerful and stable, perfect for counter hits with great force and control.
Heavier, boosts hit power and makes better use of its front hook.
Extremely versatile, allowing adjustments in path and speed, switching between direct attack, burst pressure, or even upper and downforce.
A classic high-stamina option, excellent for holding center and landing surprise hits with great consistency.
Why does it work this way?
Blader's Path explains it step by step: Bey physics, how to build combos and how to test them.
