00KnightLance summary
Lance Knight (KnightLance by Takara Tomy) is a 32.9 g BX Blade, released in Japan on August 10, 2023.
KnightLance is a knight willing to give everything in battle. Its edge is deadly to both the opponent and itself—the pure definition of a double-edged weapon. The lance may be too much for this knight to fully master, but among its category, it can still put on a solid show for the kingdom.
01Mythology
It is based on a medieval knight whose main weapon was the lance, used in tournaments where knights charged at full speed, aiming to strike the opponent’s shield with a single, precise hit to win the battle.
02Description
Its design is divided into three segments that represent double-edged lances. On the upper side, it has a slight tilt with smooth irregularities that help destabilize, while underneath it features an edge capable of hooking onto the opponent. The rest of the body is mostly smooth, with light weight and a small size, which, combined with its moderate instability, gives it average stamina.
03Performance
KnightLance lacks the weight needed to offset the risks of its triangular shape. Recoil is unavoidable and stamina is limited, but with enough power it can drag same-class opponents down with it. It usually performs better by using the momentum from being hit to bounce back and return the blow, so it benefits from semi-aggressive tips that look for contact, or stationary ones that wait at center.
It is a light Blade and easy to knock out. Its edges generate a lot of recoil that heavy opponents can turn against it. It doesn’t have the weight for aggressive attack nor the stamina for long duels. Heavy, stationary Blades are its worst matchup, making it hard to stand out at a competitive level. Even so, among Beys of its caliber, it can still put up a fight—though it won’t be easy.
04Ways to use it
At mid heights, the lower edge stays active. Use stationary tips that allow it to tilt and wait for aggressive opponents to come in and take the hit. Its upper tilts can destabilize and send the hit back using rebound force, sometimes even landing a critical hit. Requires a strong, angled launch.
While it’s not its specialty, with semi-aggressive tips and mid heights it can maintain constant contact, increasing the chances of landing its edge at the right point.
05Base combo

Way too tall, with double recoil risk between its edges and the Ratchet. Once it becomes that unstable, it loses defensive support and only lands occasional rebounds more by luck than strategy. This combo doesn’t benefit it at all.
06Combos
The 6 reinforces key points of the Blade and adds weight without risking floor scrape. Height 70 keeps it at mid level alongside Under Needle, which gives it support for counterattacks. Launch it tilted with full power to boost both impact and ground grip.
