00Jolt summary
Jolt is a 2.6 g attack Bit.
Jolt is a fantastic addition that opens up new play possibilities, which were not so easy to achieve consistently before. Had it featured a standard gear, or even better, a small one like Rush's, it could have been a totally broken part, but even so, it manages to stand out and is a mega valuable Bit that will allow you to expand your game strategies.
01Description
A standard height Bit with a wide 16-tooth gear that reaches lower than usual, and a small flat tip with a mini hole in the center.
02General properties
It is the smallest flat Bit in the system so far, much more than even Rush and Unite. This allows it to reach the best stamina among those of its type, it's just that its impact power is much lower due to the low traction, and being so small it can tilt much more than any other flat.
Its greatest quality is that it can attack the center with super high effectiveness, the first one that truly achieves an effective and consistent Flower Pattern, or Rush Launch. Which allows excellent initial maneuverability by being able to choose to move around in circles without necessarily touching the rail, going straight for the attack, or postponing its momentum by over-tilting it to let the rival take the center and then go for them.
Its biggest problem is its wide and low gear, which makes it drain a lot of energy every time it takes the rail, or frequently cause self-KOs due to the huge momentum. This can save you with a really well-landed Counterattack but it is a latent risk that it can lose control.
So, it is not a Bit that stands out for its lethality to finish battles in a few impacts, but that is its great quality. It doesn't seek to replace Rush; rather, it came to cover two playstyles for which there aren't many options currently: the long-term attack that seeks to wear down the rival with continuous impacts, and Mobile Defense where you can evade with really good control. Options where Level or Unite were usually the most used choices.
That is to say, it is an excellent balance between mobility, control, and stamina, where the better you master the initial tilt, the more you will be able to get out of it, especially to minimize the risks of taking the rail.
Why does it work this way?
Blader's Path explains it step by step: Bey physics, how to build combos and how to test them.
