00Hack Viking summary
Hack Viking is a 32.7 g UX Blade, released in January 2026.
HackViking is a mega interesting variant of HellsHammer. Visually it stands out to the point of looking like a completely different Blade, and in performance it manages to differentiate itself with a more defined and consistent style. While one seeks chaos, the other bets on precision and frontal strength. A duality that, curiously, recalls the relationship between Thor and his hammer!
01Mythology
It is based on a viking, Nordic warriors known for their ferocity in combat and their maritime raids. Despite their fame as looters, they were also skilled explorers and merchants, and their culture was deeply linked to Norse mythology and gods like Odin and Thor.
02Description
It is a re-mold of HellsHammer, maintaining the same structural base but with five subtle yet important changes:
- > From the side, it loses the lower hook, eliminating the characteristic arch.
- > Its upper curve is more reduced.
- > The front hook remains more exposed and with a more polygonal shape.
- > It is approximately half a gram lighter.
- > Its reliefs now feature a design inspired by Nordic culture.
03Performance
These changes notably modify its style compared to HellsHammer. While Hammer stood out for its versatility with a decent Erratic Attack, capable of smashing, lifting, and hitting from different angles, Hack Viking specializes in just one.
It loses practically all of its Down Force potential and only slightly maintains the Upper Attack, truly focusing on a Smash Attack. Because its front hook is mega more exposed and sharp, it allows it to execute stronger and more consistent frontal impacts. Standing out mainly at 60/70 heights so it can hit with the middle-lower part, which is the most prominent part of its hook.
It continues to suffer from being a small Blade with low inertia, and now lighter. But carrying a good momentum it can put up super decent battles, so its potential depends way too much on the player's skill to land accurate impacts with their launches from the start of the battle.
04Ways to use it
At medium heights (60/70) with flat Bits, it seeks direct impacts taking advantage of the full width of its hook. It can adapt from controlled options like Jolt to more aggressive ones like Gear Flat.
On Point style Bits, it can alternate between calmness in the center and intense accelerations when taking the rail, looking for incredibly blunt frontal impacts.
05Combos
A pure attack combo that balances aggressiveness and control. Low Rush allows maintaining good precision without losing power.
A Counter Attack combo that takes advantage of powerful launches to take the rail and maximize impact speed, or wait for the clash and respond with super greater momentum.
Why does it work this way?
Blader's Path explains it step by step: Bey physics, how to build combos and how to test them.
