HellsScythe

This Blade represents the Grim Reaper engulfed in flames, wielding its scythe, a universal symbol of death and transition. It’s said that with a single touch of its weapon, it can decide the fate of your life.

Its design integrates four scythes that rise and fall, creating upper irregularities with strong destabilizing power, plus a noticeably sharp edge on the scythe that can land surprise critical hits. Underneath, the slopes are more subtle, but still offer decent Smash potential. The rest of the scythe is smooth, so overall recoil stays low and it usually retains its spin well after contact. Even though it’s mid-weight, almost on the light side, the gaps in the scythes and the plastic underneath the solid metal parts help push the weight outward, achieving excellent, well-balanced endurance.

This is a Blade that does a bit of everything. Its weight can limit some extreme playstyles, so it performs best on Bits that give it flexibility to adjust tilt and movement, taking advantage of its strong stamina and letting you adapt to the opponent.

Fully stationary defensive Bits or overly aggressive ones don’t really help it. Being somewhat light, it can get knocked out easily if left in the center or too close to the stadium edges, and it doesn’t have the raw shape needed to hunt heavy hits. For the same reason, counter-style Bits aren’t ideal either, since they lock it into one extreme or the other.

Even though its shape could wear opponents down with over-the-top contact, it lacks the weight to sustain that role and becomes an easy KO target, so I wouldn’t recommend running it in tall combos.

Versatile Bits like Ball, Unite, or Taper help it find that sweet spot between movement, tilt, and stamina, while also giving you room to fine-tune aggression through launch power.

At mid height, you’ll use the whole Blade, but you’ll need to force tilt to trigger the destabilizing effect. Running it low helps compensate for its weight with better stability, but exposes its sharper edge, increasing recoil risk.

The more tilt you give it, the higher its destabilization potential. A flat, horizontal launch keeps it upright, boosting defense and reducing recoil.
