00Vertical summary

Vertical is a 5.2 g CX Assist Blade.

01Description

A medium height Assist with a dodecagon shape. Despite being so wide, it keeps its weight centered due to the multiple gaps on its periphery.

Its design seeks to cover the Ratchet by extending its barrier downward more than normal. However, it is so thin that it doesn't really cover it, but it is wide enough in diameter to make it super complicated to reach it.

The problem is that it is incredibly wide and its barrier sits so low that it is mega prone to scraping the floor or getting hooked on the rail. This will cost it a lot of energy, to the point that in our tests it completely flipped the Bey, leaving it like a tire!

On the other hand, its lightness does not provide greater stability, and by keeping its weight in the center, it doesn't increase the spin time either.

So its "protection" for the Ratchet brings more problems than benefits. In comparison, Wheel offers better defense due to its weight and rounded shape; Heavy improves stability, stamina, impact force, and tightens the Ratchet incredibly more to decrease the risk of bursting; and even Free protects better thanks to its free-spinning nature.

Therefore, Vertical ends up being more of a hindrance than a super help.

Why does it work this way? Blader's Path explains it step by step: Bey physics, how to build combos and how to test them. See the book
